Food Sterilization for Fruits & Vegetables
Low-acid fruits and vegetables such as corn, pea, asparagus, mung bean, carrot and potato need to be completely sterilized to extend the shelf life. Sumpot static water spray retort is particularly designed in response to the needs of quick and uniform thermal sterilization, enabling canned fruits and vegetables to be preserved with consistent flavor and freshness.
Sumpot rotary retort has more extensive applications, especially suitable for processing of products containing more liquids. As most fruits and concentrated juices have relatively low pH value, it is sufficient to use mild heat treatments (pasteurization) at low temperatures for long-term shelf stability of fruit products and preventing from nutrient loss.
